2012, Speaker at Justice Now for Trayvon Martin Hoodie Rally
August 2010-Wrote and presented speech on racism, at Martin Luther Kings 48 year anniversary of his “I have a Dream” speech, Walk in Liberty Park 2010. Featured in the Salt Lake Tribune from August 24 –August 31, 2010. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/home/50189702-76/black-speech-race-racism.html.csp
2009 Committee Member-Silent auction for the Salt Lake City Boys and Girls Club. Part of a brainstorming team that planned a charity auction event with donated items and money, which brought in a surplus of thousands in pledges and donations. These donations were given specifically to the Utah Boys and Girls Clubs to further scholarships, operating expenses and mentor related programs with at risk youth.
2008 Hosted Ted Kennedy candlelight memorial and health care reform rally at the Utah State Capital and Utah State Court gathered thousands of signatures for petitions for health care reform, federally funded local and global poverty prevention programs, environmental protection, and women and minority human rights.
